The primate of all Nigeria (Anglican Communion) has charged youths all over the nation to not only be trained physically but spiritually.

The primate stated this as he was being welcomed to Abeokuta with pomp and pageantry with drumming and singing by the boys and girls brigade organization of the diocese of Egba.

The primate urged the boys and girls to bring to bear their trainings which according to him will help them in governance and the objectives of the boys and girls brigade will be clearly lived out.

He noted that he was impressed by the rousing welcome given to him and his entourage.

Meanwhile the cleric expressed his satisfaction at the warm reception given to him. According to him, the church needs prayers and unity of purpose to achieve what they have planned.

The primate again re-iterated the need for the federal government to be alive to their responsibility of protecting lives and property of its citizens.

‘One section cannot be carrying arms and the others are suffering, the federal government should disarm those who are not authorised to carry arms’’ he said.

The cleric stated that if the government don’t intervene now, they will push the situation to degenerate into anarchy.

He condemned in entirety the incessant attack of Fulani herdsmen on the innocent farmers and villagers and called on the government to bring to book the perpetrators of these evils.

The primate also prayed for the speedy recovery of the president who is currently recuperating in a London hospital.
