The church is the prophetic voice, to challenge, to rebuke and to call back the lost souls to Christ. The Archbishop of ecclesiastical province of Lagos and the bishop of Remo Anglican diocese the Most Rev Michael Olusina Fape noted this at the standing committee meeting hosted by Egba diocese in Abeokuta the Ogun state capital.

He said the meeting is not just a fun fare or a jamboree but a spiritual exercise that will impact the lives of every participant.

He said the church is committed to declaring the fruits of God into this generation for the purpose of revealing the glory of God. He noted that no matter what the church is passing through now, victory is sure.

He harped that the church is strongly committed to building the nation and stand at the fore front of daunting challenges by praying and educating its members.

He remarked that the church will not only be committed to the spiritual life of its members but also the social and political aspect. On the standing committee meeting, he wished the meeting fruitful deliberations adding that issues as it concerns the church will be discussed.

He prayed that all challenges confronting the nation will be surmounted and God will give victory to the church. He remarked that the theme was indeed apt and timely most especially at this time when different challenges are confronting Nigeria.

Dr Fape, at this point welcomed the church of Nigeria to the province of Lagos and Egba diocese stating emphatically ‘Egba welcomes you”
