BISHOPS SHOULD ALWAYS COME OUT CLEAN. IT IS IMPERATIVE – BISHOP OKE.

The Rt Rev Samuel Oke Bishop Ekiti West Anlican Diocese has said that it is imperative that Bishops should come out clean and be the leading light shining to help those still groping in the dark.

Bishop Oke made this declaration in his sermon at day 5 of this year’s Bishops Retreat held at St Peters Chapel IBRU International Ecumenical Center Agbahar-Otor in Delta state during the daily morning Holy Eucharist Service. While speaking on the theme of the Retreat “Sundry issues of Episcopal concern, the Cleric said Bishops should work with pragmatic zeal to lead sinners to Christ out of Rebellion, works of wickedness, deception, causing storms, causing infirmities, suicide, false doctrines lying etc. Quoting from Colossians 2 vs 14 Bishop Oke said Christ died to cancel all the work of wickedness.
He called on governments to rise up and help the needy, the have nots, the down trodden, in the true sense of the word.
He said this is compulsory for the led to follow the directives of their leaders Hook-line and sinker adding that Bishops should obey the Primate without looking back and serve God a hundred percent not succumbing to the works of the devil whatever the situation. Bishop Oke said Christ must be preached.  It is imperative.
