THE PRIMATE OF ALL NIGERIA HONOURED AT THE UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN

The University of Ibadan Alumni Association recently marked its 60th Anniversary with pump and pageantry. Luncheon, Award and Book presentation; featured prominently under the Distinguished chairmanship of chief Olusegun Obasanjo GCFR former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria represented by the former N.U.C Secretary Professor Okebukola. Highpoints of the Anniversary Ceremonies was the most Distinguished Alumus Award (MDA) given to the Primate of all Nigeria Anglican Communion the Most Rev. Dr. Nicholas D. Okoh, and the Rt. Rev. Professor Evans Jonathan Ibeagha Bishop of Nike Anglican Diocese.

The award of worthy ambassador was given to another worthy recipient the Rt. Rev Peter Onekpe, Bishop of Ika Anglican Diocese in Delta State.

A book, “The Premier Alumni National Lectures, A Diachronic Reflection was unveiled by his Royal Majesty Oba Dr. Aremu Adedotun Gbadebo the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egba land.

All the awardees gave a handsome and reciprocal gesture by launching for the growth of the University to the admiration of guests. Melodious tunes were rendered by a paramilitary band, adding colour to the whole programme.
