The Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) wishes to congratulate all those who have been declared winners of the various elective positions in the just concluded General Elections in Nigeria.
We note specifically:
1. The President-elect, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR)
2. The Vice President-elect, Prof Verni Osinbajo (GCON)
3. All the Governors-elect
5. Members of the House of Representatives, from the 36 States and Federal Capital
6. Members of State Houses of Assembly
We wish to assure you of our fervent prayer for grace to keep the trust reposed in you by your elections. We request that you ensure that the next four years will witness peace, stability, cohesion, unity, justice, equity, fairness and freedom for all the citizens of this country.
One thing God has spoken, two things I have heard: Power belongs to you, God, and with you, Lord, is unfailing love, and, You reward everyone according to what they have done. (Psalm 62:11-12)
May prosperity, oneness, security of lives and property, brotherly love and affection as well as true sense of patrioti.sm be the hallmark of your tenure .
