LAGOS SYNOD 2024: THE OPENING CEREMONY FOR THE 3RD SESSION OF THE 35TH SYNOD OF LAGOS DIOCESE.

The Diocese of Lagos kicked off the 3rd Session of its 35th Synod with a resounding success at the Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina, Lagos, on Sunday, May 5th, 2024.

The service, led by The Diocesan, The Rt. Rev’d. Ifedola Senasu Gabriel Okupevi, accompanied by Mama Lagos, and Mrs. Modupe Okupevi, was a testament to the vibrancy of the Diocese.

The auspicious occasion welcomed a distinguished gathering, including the Erstwhile Archbishop, Bishop of Lagos, and Dean Emeritus, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Papa, The Most Rev. Dr. Ephraim Adebola Ademowo, OON.

Over 25 Archbishops and Bishops joined the celebration, along with synod delegates from across the Diocese, and honored guests from other Dioceses.

A Call to Action:

The sermon, delivered by The Rt. Rev. Dr. Cornelius Adagbada, The Lord Bishop of Ekiti West Diocese, centred around the synod theme: “PREACH THE WORD, BE PREPARED IN SEASON AND OUT OF SEASON” (2 Timothy 4:2).
