Ministers of God have been urged to brace up to feed their flocks with rightful words of God as well as to drive away wolves that might want to scatter the congregations.

Bishop of Igbomina Diocese, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Rt. Rev. Emmanuel Adeoye Adekola gave the advise during the Trinity Ordination of Rev. Emmanuel Faloyin as a priest and Rev. Bernard Jiryila Yanongu as Deacon at the Christ Anglican Church, Ijomu-Oro in Irepodun Local Council of Kwara State,

Adekola said that as God’s soldiers, their callings entail diligence, competence, discipline and foresightedness, stressing that as priests in the vineyard, they must be ready to lay their lives for the propagation of the gospel.

On insecurity, Adekola advised governments at all levels to do the needful by protecting lives and property in the country.

Venerable Joshua Odusolu who preached at the ordination service admonished the newly ordained priests not to allow pride, impatience and overambitious to pitch them against God and humanity.

He also warned members of the church not to be a stumbling block to their priests, noting that God would judge any priest or church member who makes members backslide.

In their response, the duo of Reverends Faloyin and Yanongu, the ministers pledged to do their best to ensure that they preach the gospel as well as win more disciples for Jesus Christ.

The highlight of the ordination included the swearing-in of Dr. Ruth Biola Adimula as Registrar of Igbomina Anglican Diocese and Mr. Shina Michael as Deputy Registrar.
