Be Renewed, Don’t Conform with the World – Mrs Angela Ndukuba Urges Young Ladies

For the young ladies from ages 18 and above, it was a time to gather together again this year to pray, listen to lectures and discuss heart to heart about issues affecting young Christain ladies in the society and the Church. They are called the “PRICELESS JEWELS” in the diocese of Abuja, Anglican Communion.

This year’s convention which held from Friday 18th to Saturday 19th August saw hundreds of young ladies from various part of Abuja diocese gather at St. Philips Anglican Church Gwarimpa for this 2-day annual convention with the theme A RENEWED LIFE, which featured Worship and Praise Session, Bible study, communion service, ladies talks and gist, ministrations and time with Mama Primate, Mrs. Angela Ndukuba who graced the convention. She is the president Mothers Union, Women’s Guild, Priceless Jewels and Girls Guild of the Church of Nigeria and the Diocese of Abuja, Anglican Communion.

In her charge to them, Mrs Ndukuba task all the priceless jewels not to conform to the things of this world but walk with God and live a spiritual life putting off their old way of life and show Case the lifestyle of Christ setting a standard as future Christian mothers.

Speaking with ACNN TV, Mama Ndukuba enlightens more on the essence of bringing the young ladies together. She noted that there are many young ladies in the Church who doesn’t know what it takes to be focused and plan for the future and the homes they are praying to build, hence the purpose of naming those who are in the age bracket the Priceless Jewels (18 and above till they get married) for proper attention, mentoring and guidance.

The host Vicar, Ven. Dr. Princewill Ireoba also noted that it’s a great impact bringing this category of young sisters together to guide them the right way. He emphasized that there are many things that cannot be discussed at a larger gathering of youths that will be talked about at this convention which will shape the lives of those who are attending.

The diocesan coordinator, Mrs Olubunmi Akinola urge all participants to take home relevant teachings and exposures from this convention to develop and establish themselves in all areas of their careers and works.
