The Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara has announced a support totaling N500m for the 2025 activities of Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion as outlined by the Primate of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, The Most Rev’d Dr. Henry Ndukuba in his address.
The governor made the donation during his welcome address to the Standing Committee Meeting of the Church holding at St Cyprian’s Anglican Church in Port Harcourt.
Governor Fubara said after listening to the Presidential Address of the Primate of Nigeria, he was challenged to support the Church financially for it to meet just a bit of the Church visionary and commendable activities.
He specifically commended the Primate for the Church’s great investment in the youth ministry and evangelization programmes.
Fubara emphasized the crucial role of the Church in shaping society by promoting peace and supporting good governance. He noted that his administration remain committed to working with all denominations to spread the message of unity and development.
He also noted that he is impressed by the fervent prayers which the Church had been offering him and his government to overcome physical and spiritual attacks, promising to always support the Church in all its activities to keep the Church growing.
