The 2024 annual rededication/Covenant Renewal Service of Diocese On The Lake has prayerfully ended at the Cathedral Church of St Mary Magdalene, Oguta.
The service was the climax of a three-day “Life In The Word Convention” with the theme “O God our help in ages past” which is usually held annually at St Mark’s Anglican church, Ejemekwuru.
Admonishing the Congregants, the Diocesan, the Rt. Rev. Chijioke Oti, Phd, commended all for fully participating in all the programs especially for their patience while the rededication/convention renewal service lasted.
He urged the congregation to remain focused and not allow anything to distract them.
Bishop Oti described the convergence of the Congregants for the program as the ” going to the biblical Shiloh of the Diocese” adding that there was nothing as rewarding as people coming before God to rededicate and renew their covenant with God.
Those who renewed their covenant with God and rededicated themselves in turns were the Clergy, the Knights, Ladies, Dames, men women, youths, and children.
Earlier in his sermon, Venerable Charles Okwaraeze said God is an architect who no one understands His programs until He finishes any work in the life of a being.
Venerable Okwaraeze pointed out that this year’s theme reflected the travails people had passed through adding that most obstacles people come across are God’s programs to prepare His children for the future.
At the well-attended service, Rev Canon Paul Ukwuoma did the intercessor prayer, Ven Uche Ejimogu read the second lesson while the first lesson was taken by the President, Council of Knights Sir Zach Ijeoma.
