TOO MANY EVILS BEDEVILING THE NATION, NO END IN SIGHT – PRIMATE OKOH

described as alarming and disheartening the wicked acts of the blood thirsty herdsmen who on daily basis are destroying unborn babies through their barbaric display of brutish activities.

According to him, a single cow is worth a community of human beings and the government appears powerless to curb their nefarious activities.

Primate Okoh gave this description during the presentation of his opening address to this year’s standing committee meeting at the cathedral church of St Barnabas at Sabo-Oke, in Ilorin. He stated that categorically that the church of Nigeria Anglican communion rejects totally the creation of cattle colony for herdsmen throughout the federation.

Archbishop Okoh said too many evils are bedeviling the nation at the same time all constituting widespread fears never felt before, making the polity to become increasingly volatile with no end in sight.

He however commended the Federal government for its bid to review the minimum wage to meet the yearning needs of the down trodden. The Primate urged the government to do the needful and quickly too.

While recounting the deplorable state the fuel scarcity has plunged Nigeria and Nigerians, Primate Okoh advised the Federal government to use the funds saved from increasing fuel price to fix all the refineries and get them to work optimally, not a return to fuel scarcity.

            He seized the opportunity of his address to call on political leaders and politicians to work harder to deliver on the previous campaigns, adding that Nigerians are still yearning for dividends of democracy.
