The Most Rev’d. (Prof.) George L. Lasebikan (Rtd) has, during the 2024 Standing Committee meeting holding in Ika Diocese, urged Christians to hold firmly to the unwavering preaching and teaching of Christ to be able to contend with the forces of darkness in the world.
Speaking on the topic “Who is on the Lord’s Side”, the cleric noted that the church is contending with evil forces of the world, saying that the church transcends the physical structures, the church is our lives.
Speaking further, Archbishop Lasebikan highlighted the preaching and teaching of the undiluted word of God as the key elements to sticking on the Lord’s Side.
According to him, “Only the word of God must be preached from the pulpit which comes as either warning, encouragement or blessings.
“The clergy and laity must continue to teach the right thing to God’s people and God of course, knows how to prosper His work.”
Concluding, he urged the laity to be strong and unrelenting, saying that the laities are a powerful force to propagating God’s word.
