Saturday 15th November, 2025 marked another historical moment in the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, as the Primate of all Nigeria, The Most Rev’d Dr. Henry Ndukuba inaugurated the Missionary Diocese of Keffi-Karshi at the St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Nyanya, Abuja.
Missionary Diocese of Keffi-Karshi was declared inaugurated on 15th November, 2025 as the 164th Diocese in the Church of Nigeria, Aglican Communion.
While delivering his homily, The Most Rev’d Williams Aladekugbe, Archbishop of Ibadan and Bishop of Ibadan North Diocese, urged the new diocese to remain focused on God and His mission among them rather than focusing on mistakes and quarrels.
The service was attended by over 50 bishops and Archbishops of the Church. Also in attendance was the immediate past Primate of the Church of Nigeria, The Most Rev’d Nicholas D. Okoh among other dignitaries.
Keffi-Karshi was created from both Kubwa and Lafia Dioceses as part of the newly created 15 dioceses in the Church of Nigeria at its last Standing committee meeting held in Ekiti last September.
Thereafter the inauguration, the Rt. Rev’d Dr. Paul Dajur was enthroned as the pioneer bishop of the new diocese.
