The Primate of All Nigeria, His Grace, the Most Rev’d Dr Henry C. Ndukuba has inaugurated three (3) separate Teams according to the 3 Old Provinces of the Church of Nigeria for the task of Receiving Applications, Inspection and Verification of Applications for the Creation of only full fledged Dioceses in the Church of Nigeria.

The General Secretary of the Church of Nigeria, The Ven. Dr. Paul Dajur made this known in a letter personally signed by him to all Archbishops, Bishops, Clergy and Laity.

He noted that this is based on the Resolution of the General Synod at its meeting held in September 2023 in Nnewi, Anambra State.

The Teams inaugurated to implement this assignment are:
OLD PROVINCE 1: SUPRA WEST DIOCESES
Chairman: The Most Rev’d Dr Joseph Akinfenwa
Secretary: The Ven. Stephen Ayodeji Adeyemi

OLD PROVINCE 2: JOINT COUNCIL OF THE EAST OF THE NIGER
Chairman: The Most Rev’d Dr Blessing Enyindah
Secretary: The Ven. Dr Donald Awujuo

OLD PROVINCE 3: SUPRA NORTH
Chairman: The Most Rev’d Daniel Yisa Secretary: The Ven. Isuwa D. Saidu

The Teams have between now and Thursday, October 31, 2024 to submit the reports of their assignment.

Dr. Paul added that all applications for the creation of full fledged Dioceses should be submitted to the appropriate Teams.

He encouraged the Church to pray for the Teams that their assignment will come out well to the glory of God.
