Nigerians have been urged to be patient with the new administration of President Muhammadu Buhari. The : Archbishop, Metropolitan and Primate of All Nigeria Anglican Communion, His Grace, the Most Rev, Nicholas Okoh gave the charge on arrival in Akure the Ondo State capital for the second edition of the Anglican Communion Standing Committee Meeting for year 2015.

The Primate said One Hundred days are too short a time to assess the performance of a new government desirous of curbing corruption and all forms in indiscipline in the polity. He expressed optimism that the Buhari Administration would move Nigeria forward hence the need for prayers and patience of all Nigerians.

On the Standing Committee Meeting, the Most Rev. Nicholas Okoh said it is an avenue for all the Dioceses of the Anglican Communion in Nigeria to discuss topical issues affecting the Church in Nigeria and make plausible outlines for the spiritual growth of the Church and its congregation. The Primate hinted that the meeting would also decide on filling vacant positions in the house of Bishops in some of Dioceses.

On hand to welcome the Primate and his wife, Mrs. Nkasiobi Okoh to the Diocese of Akure, Anglican Communion were the Bishop of Akure Diocese, Rt Rev. Simeon Borokini with his wife; the Provost of the Cathedral Church of St David, Ijomu, Akure, the Very Revd. Olusegun Osotayo with his wife; all Archdeacons in the Diocese with their wives; and other members of the house of Clergy, as well as a large number of members of the house of laity.
