The Primate of all Nigeria (Anglican Communion) Most Revd. Nicholas D. Okoh has described the late chief Imam of the national mosque Ustaz Musa Muhammad as a pleasant and good natured cleric who lived a life of service to humanity and made an indelible impact on all who interacted with him. The late Chief Imam according to him was a friendly person, bridge builder across religious barriers and a pleasant personality.

He said the Chief Imam’s death has further confirmed the transient nature of life. The primate made these comments when he and his team paid a condolence visit to the management board of the National Mosque today.

He said Musa Muhammad has played his part and his contributions to cordial interfaith and peaceful co-existence relations will remain evergreen.

While receiving the Primate and his team, the Executive Secretary National Mosque Management Board Alhaji Ibrahim Abubakar Gega spoke glowingly about the primate and team who he said stood out of all the religious groups that have been coming to commiserate with the Muslim community on the death of the great scholar Musa Muhammad.

He too said life is Ephemeral but that they felt consoled by the kind gesture of the visit of Archbishop Nicholas D. Okoh and his team and sent his warm regards.

Ustaz Musa Muhammad died at 68 after a brief illness at Abuja National Hospital.
