The Ambassador of Denmark to Nigeria, Torben Gettermann has described his discussion and meeting with the Primate of All Nigeria Anglican Communion, the Most Rev. Nicholas D. Okoh as very forward looking. He gave this description during a courtesy call paid to the head of the Anglican Church at the Episcopal House (also known as the Primate’s office) located in Wuse Zone 5, Abuja. The Primate welcomed the Ambassador and extended a hand of friendship for future consultations.
Meanwhile, in an interview after the visit, the Ambassador disclosed that he had come to discuss matters of common interest and issues that are close to what he is working with as an Ambassador in Nigeria. He added that it was essential for him to hear the Primate’s views on how Nigeria is working, how the Anglican Church is working and the job they are doing in terms of taking care of the people of Nigeria and spreading the gospel in Nigeria. Ambassador Gettermann expressed appreciation for the opportunity to discuss issues with the Primate, further disclosing that it was a good and open discussion.
Also present at the visit were the Bishops of Kaduna Anglican diocese, the Rt. Rev. Timothy Yahaya and Okigwe-South Anglican diocese, the Rt. Rev. David Onuoha.
