The Bishop of Nomadic Mission of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, The Right Reverend Simon Mutum has given three reasons why the Christian must have complete believability, complete faith and confidence in God.
He stated this at the day three of the First Session of the 10th synod of Abuja Diocese holding at St. Mathew’s Anglican Church Maitama, Abuja.
Bishop Mutum said the resurrection of Jesus Christ is true, his ascension was not in doubt and the Pentecost promised and also speaking in tongues were true manifestation that should enhance the faith and commitment of Christians to God.
Bishop Mutum added that it was unfortunate that many Christians are not re-generated hence they have not allowed the Spirit of God to dwell in them, and that is why fear always sets in.
The Anglican Bishop of Nomadic Mission said many Christians have the habit and character that were in-born; even some pastors have not proved to be converted.
He said it is incontrovertible that only submission and surrender totally to God that can conquer fear. According to him where fear is conquered, faith and love will envelope the total man and he will stop running helter skelter.
He asked physically if Christians today are really re-generated and the Holy Spirit is residing in them.
He concluded the sermon by asking the congregation to embrace peace, be patient, have the Agape love of Christ and be disciplined.
