This generation has been described as the most wicked, where wickedness is walking majestically on top of the hill.

The Rt. Rev. Sosthenes Eze, Bishop of Enugu North Anglican Diocese gave this description at the August edition of the Diocese of Abuja monthly night vigil tagged, “POWER NIGHT” held at the Cathedral Church of the Advent Life Camp, Abuja. The Cleric who took his text from the gospel of St. Matthew Chapter 16 Verse 13-19 harped on the theme, “WHO DO YOU SAY I AM.”

The Bishop said that Jesus values the interpretation people have about who He is and asserted the claim that He is THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE. The Diocesan of Enugu North pointed at the answer of Peter as supernatural, explaining that it is not surprising that Jesus eulogized Peter because of that singular answer, which he said was revealed to him by the Kingdom of Heaven.

The Bishop gave a categorical stand that the believer’s experience in life will determine his or her perception of Jesus, which will in turn affect the way he or she will follow Him.  He said that whatever personal revelation a Christian has about Jesus Christ is what He will be to that person all the days of his or her life. According to him, David understood this and that is why he wrote in Psalm 23, “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want….” The Bishop therefore admonished all believers in Christ to develop a deep personal conviction of Jesus Christ. He added that this must come from the heart not from the head, because from the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.
