Unmerited Favour, Nigeria’s Saving Grace – Rt. Rev Christian Ide.

“The evil that men do in the Nigerian nation is a great impediment to the harvest of great increase purposed and patterned for the country” The Rt. Rev Christian Ide Bishop of Warri Anglican Diocese made this remark at this year’s Adult harvest of the Cathedral Church of the Advent Life-camp Abuja. The cleric said the only panacea to the numerous problems facing the people of this great country is living a honest and righteous life which will in turn result in a catalogue of blessings. According to him, Harvest of great increase is for those who God is their portion in the land of the living. He encouraged those who are heavy laden to cry loud unto the Lord and be at the right location to receive great increase. The Bishop of Warri said it is unfortunate that people in low and high places are neck deep in corruption and are committing atrocities with impunity noting that no wicked world can celebrate the harvest of great increase except the people turn to Christ Jesus. The ebullient Bishop said the Nigerian environment stinks yet the unmerited favour of God is for the people if they are obedient and turn from their wicked ways. He said the inheritance God has promised this country are not coming because of lies, corruption, killing, great injustice and suffering. The Rt Rev Ide said it is not the skyscrapers, jets, and glittering things of the world that is the harvest of great increase but peace and contentment. He asked people to return back the ill-gotten wealth and what does not belong to them in their possession to the covers from where it is stolen adding that it is only by doing so that they can celebrate harvest of great increase in all its ramifications. Bishop Ide warned that the Lord is watching and the day of reckoning is coming when all shall give account of their stewardship before the throne of God. He asked them to henceforth cry loud unto the Lord for justice because cheats will not be part of great increase. He made Altar call and people touched by God signified and gave lives and returned to the Lord their God with the belief that enjoyment of harvest of great increase and indescribable gift of abundant blessings shall be theirs.
