Two New Bishop Elected for Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion

Two new bishops have been elected for the church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion). They are the Venerable Prince Asukwo Antai, Archdeacon of Abak Missionary Archdeaconry diocese of Uyo elected to succeed the Rt. Rev. Isaac Orama, the late bishop of Uyo Anglican Diocese.

The Venerable Dr. Williams Oluwarotimi Aladekugbe Dean of Ezekiel College of Theology Ujoelen Ekpoma, Edo state was elected to succeed the Rt. Rev. Jacob Ola Fasipe the retiring bishop of Oyo Anglican Diocese.

They were elected as bishops at a one day Episcopal synod on Friday August 9, 2014 at Saint Peter’s Chapel Ibru Retreat International center Agbaharha – Otor, Delta State.

Consecration of the new bishops takes place on the 16th of September 2014 at the Cathedral church of the Good Shepherd Enugu during the General Synod being hosted by the Ecclesiastical Province of Enugu.
