The Primate of all Nigeria Anglican Communion, the Most Revd. Nicholas D. Okoh has called on all Christians especially Anglicans to watch and pray for the forthcoming Global Anglican Future Conference (GAFCON II). He made this call during the prayer and fasting organized by the Abuja Anglican Diocese for the conference which was held at All saints Church, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja.
He added that Christians do not wrestle against flesh and blood and therefore all must be vigilant and continue to seek God’s face for the protection of his people. Primate Okoh enjoined all to pray against any disruptions towards the conference and for journey mercies to all those who will be attending the conference.
It would be recalled that GAFCON was born out of the need to practice the authentic gospel of Christ by abiding by the Biblical standards of God towards certain issues such as marriage between man and woman.
The Global Anglican Future Conference (GAFCON II) will take place this year in Nairobi, Kenya from Monday 21st to Saturday 26th October, 2013. About 470 delegates have been slated to attend from Nigeria and they include members from the house of Clergy, Laity, Men’s Fellowship, Women Organizations and the Youths of the Anglican Church.
