Your Grace, The Most Rev. Dr. Nicholas D. Okoh, Archbishop Metropolitan and Primate of All Nigeria, Chairman, GAFCON Primates Council and Convener of the Meeting of Eminent Anglicans, all over the Country and Abroad.

Your Graces, The Archbishops
My Lords, The Bishops
Your Excellencies
Very Eminent Anglicans
Church of Nigeria Officials
Members of the Eminent Anglicans Planning Committee
Chairman and Members Local Organizing Committee
Distinguished and Cherished Ladies and Gentlemen

This comes with our prayers, respects and best wishes as we welcome you as John the Baptist prior to the Head of Our Church, The Primate’s welcome.

It is with thanksgiving to God for safety in all your travels, that you are very much appreciated for your esteemed presence and participation in this historic and epoch making gathering and fellowship.

This event is first of its kind and is laudable. Blessed be the eyes that see what we are seeing. It is the Lord’s doing and it is marvellous in our eyes.

Our Primate, who is down-to-earth practical, has come up with this programme just as he came up with DIVCON –Divine Commonwealth Convention. These and many more are undoubtedly laudable.

It is all SERVICE WITH OUR RESOURCES joyfully and unreservedly to our God and the Church.

Wright says, “Service is the rent we pay for being alive. It is the very purpose of life, and not something you do in your spare time”. As we serve with our resources, we are united in fellowship. Psalm 133:1 clearly states that it is good and pleasant for brethren to dwell together in unity.

We must thank our forward-looking and visionary leader and Primate, The Most Rev. Dr. Nicholas D. Okoh, for conceiving the idea of such an important assembly as this.

We know that the Lord who has raised him for us as our leader and Head of our Church will also grant us all the grace and courage to cooperate with him in moving our Church forward in any way that he may be directing us.

It has pleased God to provide you all for the Church in Nigeria (Anglican Communion). Individually, you are indomitable, you are quintessential, you are honourable and a force to be reckoned with, anywhere and anytime.

Collectively, you are a pillar of support. May the good Lord continue to make you all to be relevant in the Name of Jesus.

We are very conscious of how busy you all are and highly delighted that out of your love for God and the work of God, you have left everything aside to honour God in us.

We can assure you that our Jehovah Jireh, who is the great provider will definitely reward you beyond your own and human imagination.

We pray for DIVINE empowerment to be able to meet and surpass whatever expectations our Baba Primate may have in convening this meeting. God will continually make a way for us and take the Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion beyond our imagination. Higher and higher, may we go. Backward never, forward ever.

Members of the Eminent Anglicans Planning Committee met in Lagos a couple of times. They are all highly appreciated for their labour in the service of the Lord. Spiritual and material profitability will be their portion.
The Local Organizing Committee, led by His Excellency, Senator General Tunde Ogheha deserves kudos, bravo and our immense thanks. They worked assiduously. May they continually tower and excel.
Let me round-off with this Bible verse which you should please mark, digest and pray always.

Nehemiah 13: 14 New King James Version, “Remember me for this, O my God and do not blot out what I have so faithfully done for the house of my God and its services”.
Another version says “keep me in mind O my God in connection with this and do not let the good which I have done for the house of my God and its worship go from your memory completely.”
Another version
“Remember me O my God for this, don’t ever forget the devoted work I have done for the temple of God and its worship”
Another version (Amplified) “O my God, Remember me concerning this and do not wipe out my loyal deeds and kindness which I have done for the house of my God and for its services”

TO ALL OF US – Your labour in the service of the Lord will not be in vain.

Thank you all. God’s blessing be with you and all yours.

Yours in His Joyful and Glorious Service,

The Most Rev. Dr. E. Adebola Ademowo, OON
Chairman, Planning Committee
