CHURCH OF NIGERIA (ANGLICAN COMMUNION) GETS NEW GENERAL SECRETARY

The Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) has got a new General Secretary.

He is Venerable Dr.Gershinen Paul Dajur from the Anglican Diocese of Jos.

Venerable Dajur began his educational Career at the Myet Nemel Primary School in Kanke Local Government Area of Plateau State.

He proceeded to Government Secondary School Ampang East, for his secondary education and his National Certificate of Education (NCE) studies at the Federal College of Education Pankshin. He was at the Christian Institute (Anglican Seminary) Jos in Plateau State where he bagged a degree in Divinity and Theology in 2006. He studied and took Masters Degree in Arts (M. A) at the Trinity School for Ministry Ambridge, PA Pennsylvania United States of America (U.S.A) in 2010.

He capped it up with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Christian Studies (Theology and Philosophy of Religion) in 2014 at the Prestigious Crowther Graduate Theological Seminary, Abeokuta in Ogun State in affiliation with Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti. Before his appointment as the General Secretary for Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, the Ven. Dr. Paul Dajur worked and performed his Sacerdotal duties in so many Churches at home, in the ecclesiastical Province of Jos, and abroad.

He is a voracious reader, he writes, he teaches and he is a good listener especially to high inspirational messages and good music. He is also a good singer of Christian songs especially Hymns. All these he takes as Hobbies.

The Venerable was ordained Deacon on 12th of December 2004 and priested on 4th of December, 2005.  Ven. Dr. Dajur belongs to so many Professional bodies. He is a member of Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), Member Nigerian Association of Biblical Studies (NABIS) member All Nigerian Confederation of Principals of Secondary School (ANCOPSS) Member conference of voluntary Agency Community and Private Secondary Schools in Plateau State member principals of Association of Christian Schools in Nigeria (ACSN)

The New General Secretary is married to Mrs. Michelle Misel Dajur and the marriage is blessed with three children, a boy, and two girls.
